This unique site is located in the centre of Felixstowe and is surrounded by well established Victorian gardens and the back of a Roman Catholic church. Currently, the site is derelict and was, in the past, used as a builders yard to store materials.
The architectural design response was not to mimic the Victorian scale and pattern, but to refer back to the utilitarian use of the site by creating a modern design for this new build.
The bungalow has been designed in a simple, classic gabled building form with a restrained pallet of materials using black profiled cladding.
